| My dream has been to someday own an original numbered Stillen SMZ. That dream almost came true two years ago when I found a white SMZ for sale on autotrader and attempted to have it shipped to me here in Korea. I was disappointed to find out that the car couldn't pass through customs because since Jan. 2008, Korea only allows cars equipped with OBD II to come into the country. so basically I was SOL. The problem with buying z's in Korea is that the majority of japanese cars here are right hand drive (Korea is a left hand drive country like th US). I know there are a lot of you out there that would die to have a JDM, but me, I prefer to have a left hander. So, i finally found a car that was imported from the US years ago and have started work on it. it needs a lot of work. it's a red, TT, left hand drive with stillen exhaust, JWT ecu, stillen hoses, blitz intake, and some other minor mods. the interior was shit, the exterior was shitier, and overall condition was not very good and worst of all it was automatic. but, at the least, it was left hand drive and twin turbo and tuned by stillen at stillen. so i've jumped the gun and started the project. first off, i had the seats completely reconditioned. i wish I could post pics here and show what an incredible job they did with the seats. when I say reconditioned, i mean that they didn't redo the leather they reconditioned it and it looks like it's brand spanking new. somehow they removed all the creases, tears, drivers side hole (in normal area) etc... next off, i'm dropping the car off tomorrow to have a manual transmission retrofitted into the car. i hope they do a good job. i've also ordered the stillen side skirts, rear valance, rear spoiler, center nose panel, and plan on ordering the front lip spoiler. i'm also ordering the avs vs5's from japan which seem to be plentiful over there. i noticed that someone on tt.net also produces or sells the stillen style carbon fiber shift knob which I hope to order soon. judging from the pics the only other parts to order would be the stickers and emblems (plaque on the inside), stitching into the center console, front nose emblem and side window emblems. can someone tell me if there is an emblem in the engine bay and if so please send me a picture to auclutch@hotmail.com? also, does anyone know of any other emblems or stickers that I would need to make it look like an SMZ? I really wish I could just buy one and bring it over which would be a lot cheaper and obviously better. too bad i can't! lastly, is there an SMZ registry? Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
